Union Chief Minister Attends and Supports Maha Thingyan A-Tet Last Day Charity Feast Organized by Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization

On the occasion of Maha Thingyan A-Tet Day, the Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization, comprising representatives from the four major religions, continued its charitable satuditha feeding program for pilgrims on April 16, 2026, at 08:30 hrs, at the western entrance parking area of the Shwedagon Pagoda, Yangon Region, as part of the fourth day of the Maha Thingyan festivities.

The event was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Htut and his wife, regional ministers and their spouses, responsible officials from the regional government, Chairman (Central) U Wunna, Central Patron Dr. Nyunt Hla, Vice Chairman U Bo Bo Maung (Islam), General Secretary U Than Zin Hlaing, Secretaries U Zaw Moe Aung (Buddhist), U Saw John (Christian), and U Khin Maung Zaw (Islam), Fundraising Committee Secretary U Han Win Aung, Secretary (2) U Shwe Maung (Islam), Chairpersons of Central Supporting Committees Daw Khin Mya Thwe (Women’s Affairs) and U Soe Moe (Social Affairs), Yangon Region Patron U Bani (Hindu), Yangon Region Vice Chairmen U Sein Hlaing (Buddhist), U Ba Bu Lay (Hindu), and U Moe Zat (Christian), General Secretary U Zaw Win Aung, Secretary (2) U Myo Zaw (Christian), Youth Affairs Chairman U Htoo Ye Aung, and regional executive members.

During the ceremony, the Yangon Region Chief Minister and officials donated a total of MMK 5,000,000 (five million kyats) to the Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization. The donation was received by the Chairman (Central) and responsible officials. Subsequently, in collaboration with the regional government, satuditha meals were served to visiting pilgrims.

On this Maha Thingyan A-Tet Day, approximately 2,500 pilgrims were provided with vegetarian danpauk meals as part of the charitable offering.
