Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein Attends the 8th Joint Blood Donation Ceremony of the Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization (Yangon Region)

Under the guidance of the Chairperson of the Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization (Central), the Yangon Region Interfaith Committee organized its 8th Joint Blood Donation Ceremony on the morning of December 2, 2025, at the Central Office of the Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization located in Botahtaung Township, Yangon.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Yangon Region Ministers, Chairperson of the Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization (Central) U Wunna, Vice-Chairpersons U Zaw Zaw Naing (Hindu), Dr. Tu Tu (Christian), and U Aung Zaw Win (Islam), Central Organizing Committee Secretaries U Than Zinn Hlaing (Buddhist), U Kyaw Zinn Latt (Hindu), and U Kyaw Myint Oo (Christian), Central Discipline, Coordination and Facilitation Committee Secretary U Zaw Moe Aung, Central Finance Committee Secretary U Soe Moe, Yangon Region Chairperson U Win Myint, Central Support Committee Leaders Daw Khin Myat Thwe (Women’s Affairs) and U Nay Myo Win (Social Affairs), Central Treasurer U Hla Kyu, Central Spokesperson U Myo Zeya, Central Social Support Committee Secretary U Yan Win Khant, Central Information Committee Members U Myint San and U Steeve, Central Executives, Region Interfaith Leader U Banee (Hindu), Region Vice-Chairpersons U Win Htun (Hindu), U Moe Zat (Christian), U Bo Ni Win (Islam – Acting), Region General Secretary U Han Win Aung, Region Secretaries U Zaw Win Maung (Hindu), U Francis (Christian), and U Shwe Maung (Islam), Joint Secretaries U Babu Lay (Hindu), U Myo Zaw (Christian), and U Kyaw Win (Islam), Region Treasurer U Kyaw Zinn Thet, Township Chairpersons from Insein, Mayangone, Hmawbi, and Botahtaung Townships, Region Executives, Deputy Director Dr. Thandar and medical officers from the National Blood Center, healthcare staff, and blood donors attended the ceremony.

Medical officers and healthcare staff from the National Blood Center assisted blood donors by conducting blood type identification and necessary health screenings.

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, together with Region Ministers, Central Chairperson U Wanna, and Central Executives, observed and encouraged the blood donation process and presented nutritious refreshments to the donors.

A total of 150 donors participated in today’s blood donation. The Yangon Region Government provided boiled eggs, energy drinks, bananas, purified drinking water, and other nutritious items. The Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization (Central) provided T-shirts, energy drinks, eggs, and other nutritious food. In addition, the Yangon Region Hindu Interfaith Group Executives donated lunch boxes containing chicken curry with beans and rice, along with bottled drinking water.
