Myanmar National Human Rights Commission and Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization (Central) Hold Human Rights Briefing and Discussion

The Myanmar National Human Rights Commission (MNHRC) and the Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization (Central) held a briefing and discussion on human rights–related matters on December 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at the Central Office Meeting Hall of the Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization.

The meeting opened with a keynote address by U Paw Lwin Sein, Chairperson of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, followed by welcoming remarks delivered by U Wanna, Chairperson of the Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization (Central).

Subsequently, Dr. Than Myint, Member of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, presented and discussed topics related to human rights promotion and public education, while U Kyaw Soe, another Commission Member, provided a detailed explanation on human rights protection and safeguarding mechanisms.

The discussion was attended by representatives from the Myanmar Interfaith Dialogue Organization (Central), including Second Vice Chairpersons U Zaw Zaw Naing (Hindu Affairs), Dr. Tu Tu (Christian Affairs), and U Aung Zaw Win (Islamic Affairs); Secretaries of the Central Organizing Committee U Thant Zin Hlaing (Buddhist Affairs), U Kyaw Zin Latt (Hindu Affairs), and U Kyaw Myint Oo (Christian Affairs); U Zaw Moe Aung, Secretary of the Central Discipline, Coordination and Mediation Committee; U Soe Moe, Secretary of the Central Fundraising Committee; U Win Myint, Chairperson of Yangon Region; Chairs of Central Supporting Committees Daw Khin Mya Thwe (Women’s Affairs) and U Nay Myo Win (Social Affairs); U Hla Kyu, Central Treasurer; U Hla Kyaw, Central Auditor; U Myo Zayya, Central Information Secretary; U Sai Latt Thin, Central Executive Committee Member; Daw Win Win Than (Christian Affairs), Second Vice Chairperson of the Central Supporting Women’s Affairs Committee; Daw Khin Thida Zaw (Christian Affairs), Secretary; U Bani (Hindu Affairs), Patron of Yangon Region; U Han Win Aung, Yangon Region General Secretary; U Shwe Maung (Islamic Affairs) and U Myo Zaw (Christian Affairs), Regional Secretaries; Daw Khine Mon Mon Ko, Secretary of the Central Supporting Women’s Affairs Committee; and Daw Thwe Su Yi, Joint Treasurer.

Following the presentations, attendees raised questions on human rights issues, which were clearly and comprehensively addressed by the Chairperson and responsible officials of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission.
